Strategy
Organisations, departments and teams each need a strategy that sets out their overall direction and the scope of their work in the long-term. In the public sector a strategy sets out the delivery goals, the configuration of resources for delivery and how stakeholder expectations will be met.
My approach is to support you, through a robust, analytical process to develop and test your vision and goals and prepare a strategy that underpins your work and that of your team.
Examples of my leadership of strategy include
- A Primary Care Estates Strategy for Cardiff Local Health Board that led to the strategic development of a wave of new primary care facilities in the City
- The approval of the joint Cardiff Strategy for a Healthy City, the forerunner of Cardiff’s membership of the World Health Organisation Healthy City network.
- The approval of the Powys Teaching Health Board’s Statutory Medium Term Plan
Planning
Planning is a process that can operate at a population, geographical or project level. It is primarily concerned with ensuring delivery, through clear, demonstrable measurable plans. My expertise is particularly suited to planning integrated, multi-agency projects that bring together the aims and cultures of diverse organisations.
Example of my leadership in planning include:
- Leadership of the NHS contribution to the Loudoun Square Regeneration Project, an innovative housing, healthcare and commercial development at the heart of one of the most deprived areas of Wales
- Delivery of the Glan Irfon Health and Social Care project in Builth Wells
Facilitation
I am a highly experienced facilitator able to design and run outcome focused workshops, from large conference style events to intimate workshops for smaller teams, and multi-agency groups. I will work to understand your context and design a process that will deliver the outcome you are looking for. I use a highly skilled, interactive approach bespoke to your requirements.
Technical Author
I can help to communicate technical information in a way that is easy to understand. The information may be presented in a number of forms and for different audiences. I have extensive experience of writing for a range of audiences and purposes including, public information leaflets, complex papers for public sector boards. I also offer technical support for business case and bid-writing.
